Get into the Spirit of Giving this Ramadan
The holy month of Ramadan is a time to reflect on our blessings, spend time with family, and most importantly give to that in need. Here are some tips provided by Al Jalila Foundationon how to make this Ramadan your most giving yet.
1.It takes 30 days to form a habit so this Ramadan go the extra mile and make a habit of doing small acts of kindness every day to spread joy around you. Easy ways to do this are: opening the door for the stranger, giving way to others while driving, helping your spouse with the chores, offering a word of encouragement to a friend.
2.Connect with friends and family over a meal for a cause by dining at one of Al Jalila Foundation’s basma partner restaurants where a portion of your bill will be donated to spread hope and smiles to children with life threatening illnesses.
3.Shop for a cause and buy gifts for your loved ones from Al Jalila Charity Store and other retail partners who dedicate a part of their sales for charitable causes. Follow @aljalilauae on social media and #30DaysOfGiving for updates.
4.Involve friends, family and colleagues by holding a fundraiser at your school or workplace. Some fun ways to do this is through bakes sales or best Iftar dish competitions where the proceeds are dedicated to charity. Email email@example.com for more information.
5.Stay active and dedicate your fitness goals toward a good cause. Start a fundraising page on Hopasports and rally your friends to support your charity challenge.https://www.hopasports.com/en/info/charity/al_jalila_foundation
6.Volunteer at Al Jalila Children’s Speciality Hospital and put on your superhero cape to spread happiness to children undergoing treatment. http://www.aljalilachildrens.ae/volunteer
