GMU Provost Prof. Gita Ashok Raj seen with other speakers and delegates
at the conference on Collaborative Health Care: Changing Paradigms in
Education, Clinical Care and Research, which was jointly organized by The
Association of Academic Health Centers International and Semmelweis
University in Budapest, Hungary on November 7-8 2013.
GMU’s College of Dentistry in association with GMC Super Specialty Dental
Center, Ajman conducted a workshop on Direct composite veneering system for
anterior teeth. The workshop faculty was Dr. Mario Besek, academic lecturer at
University in Zurich.
Gulf Medical University has signed an agreement with MAHSA University Malaysia to
jointly implement a twinning MBBS Program. Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost GMU and
Prof. Datuk Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa bin Hj. Abdullah, Pro- Chancellor and Executive
Chairman , MAHSA University signed the agreement in the presence of Dato’ Hasan
Malek, Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Malaysia and
university officials.
Skull base & Neurovascular Cadaver workshop was hosted at Gulf Medical
University, Ajman by Neuro Spinal Hospital, Dubai with renowned international
faculty. The course focused on various approaches and dissection of the skull
base and brain respectively.
Gulf Medical University hosted the 5th Annual Scientific Meeting on 17th and
18th November 2013. The meeting marked a saga of the scholarly initiatives and
achievements of the Gulf Medical University community that is reflected in its
theme: “15 years of GMU – an emerging story of Education, Healthcare, Quality,
Research and Innovation”
Dr. Anuj Mathur, conducted an oral Presentation of GMU’s research paper at
BITS Major Clinical Disease Summit in Warsaw, Poland. The research was jointly
conducted by Gulf Medical University and GMC Hospitals.
Centre for Advanced Biomedical Research and Innovation (CABRI) in
association with GMU conducted a seminar on quality control in clinical
laboratories. The seminar featured a series of lectures by experienced faculty
which focused on different aspects of quality control
