Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of GMU awarded Certificates for
successful completion of 10 months Short-term Courses in Clinical
Nutrition, Physical Therapy Assistant, Pharmacy Assistant and Medical
Assistant conducted by the Centre for Continuing Education and
Community Outreach (CCE&CO).
National Conference of Updates in Radiology was organised at
Gulf Medical University by the Department of Diagnostic Imaging,
GMC Hospital, Ajman.
Students of GMU celebrated World Braille Day by presenting posters
and creating awareness about the visually impaired to the staff, students
and visitors of GMU. World Braille Day is celebrated every year on 4th
January around the world to commemorate the birthday of Louis Braille.
Gulf Medical University participated in the DAWN Education Expo
held across three cities of Pakistan. The exhibitors explained about
GMU & its courses on offer to the visitors, sparking interest in many
potential students.
To mark the 2nd anniversary of its existence, Body & Soul Health
Club & Spa, Ajman hosted an Annual Junior Football League,
2012. The tournament was held in the newly constructed floodlight
football grounds of Body & Soul Health Club & Spa, Ajman.
Mr. Chaker Bou Abdallah, Secretary General of the Society of Arab
Faculties & Institutes of Physiotherapy (SFIPA), Beirut - Lebanon recently
visited the College of Allied Health Sciences (CoAHS) , GMU and GMC
Hospital, Ajman to list the Bachelor of Physical Therapy programs of the
CoAHS, GMU under the SFIPA.
European Continuing Medical Training (ECMT) in association with
Medtronics organised a Cadaveric Workshop at Gulf Medical
University, Ajman on 23.02.2013.
The Fourth International Conference and Workshop on Hands on
Cadaveric Interventional Pain Management was held at Gulf Medical
University in Ajman. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Tariq Tramboo,
MD FIPP.The program was jointly held with Trans World Pain Society.
GMU students commemorated World Cancer Day by dressing up the
University with related posters, pictures and decorations. The objective
was to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention,
detection, and treatment among the people present at GMU.
The Basic Surgical Skills Workshop was held on 23-24 November,
2012 at GMC Hospital, Ajman. Over 30 International delegates
which included Bahrain Defense Force Hospital and Sultan Quboos
University Hospital, Oman attended the Basic Surgical Skills
Workshop.
