Emirates Pathology Society (EPS), part of Emirates Medical Association
(EMA) held their meeting at Gulf Medical University. The meeting was
attended by over 60 pathologists from all over the UAE.
GMU hosted a seminar on Allergy - “Clinical Approaches to Diagnosis and
Therapy” on June 4th 2014. The event was organized by Centre for Advanced
Biomedical Research and Innovation.
College of Dentistry of GMU organized 6thAnnual Conference on “Innovations
in Clinical Dentistry” in the month of May 2014. The conference was attended
by over 150 delegates.
As part of International Nurses Day Celebrations, GMC Hospital Nursing
Department organized a National conference on Anxiety and Stress
Management in Nursing Profession.
Thumbay Group UAE bagged the The Best Talent Management Practice
award for setting standard for innovation and strategy in Talent Management.
The award was presented during the 6th Annual MENA HR Excellence
Awards held in Dubai as part of 9th Annual Human Asset Expansion Summit
MENA 2014 held in May 2014.
Dr. Ramesh Ranganthan, Associate Dean of GMU’s College of Graduate
Studies presented a poster “Prevalence of biofilm and beta-lactamase
producing Staphylococcus in nasal and throat isolates from healthy volunteers:
A medical alert” at the Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Asia Congress
held at Singapore.
The GMC Annual Healthy Baby Contest & Exhibition 2014 was held by GMC Hospital, Ajman on the 25th & 26th of April 2014 at the Gulf Medical University. His
Excellency Sheikh Dr. Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman Ruler’s Court Ajman and Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President - Thumbay Group, graced the
occasion. Mrs. Shabana Faisal, Vice Chairperson, KEF Holdings was the Chief Guest. Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost Gulf Medical University was the Guest of
Honor. Over 4000 people including the participants, parents and others attended the event, held over two days.
Gulf Medical University hosted its Annual and Medical Sceince Exhibition (MASE) at its campus. The event had more than 4500 visitors from over 250 schools. The
event offered students from over 50 schools to demonstrate their projects and display their talent in innovations in science and medicine.
