GMC Hospitals, U.A.E. celebrated International Nurses
Day 2013. The theme chosen for this year’s event was
“Closing the Gap : The Millennium Development Goals
: 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1”. The event featured three segments:
a Lamp Lighting Ceremony with the nurses taking the
professional oath, a CNE Program on ‘Vision, Innova-
tion and Implementation in Nursing Practice and lastly the Cultural Festival which was
held in the GMU campus whereby the nurses from all GMC Hospitals demonstrated
their talents by hosting a special cultural show in singing, dance and drama.
College of Allied Health Sciences, a constituent College of Gulf Medical University
organized the National Conference on Multi-Disciplinary Approach to Management of
Low Back Pain at GMU Campus, Ajman.
GMU hosted Ms. Gloria O. Abumere, Registrar, and Mr. Augustine C. Ezeugwn, Head
of Training representing the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) who visited the
GMU Campus, with the agenda to discuss accreditation of Pharm D program offered
by Gulf Medical University which would pave the way for the registration of GMU
Pharm D students as Pharmacist in Nigeria
GMC Medical & Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah recently hosted the Medical Meet
2013, with more than 45 eminent doctors participating in this MOH accredited event.
Dr. Prashanth Hegde, Chief of Medical Staff of GMC Hospital chaired the event in the
presence of chief guest Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of Gulf Medical University.
Gulf Medical University hosted its Annual and Medical Science Exhibition (MASE) at its campus. The objective to host the grand event was to
provide a platform for the upcoming students to display their talents in the field of medicine and science. The grand event was attended by more
than 3000 students from around 200 schools, with participation in the competition from 51 schools across UAE.
