Explore Peruvian Food with COYA Dubai’s Set Lunch Menu
COYA Dubai at Restaurant Village Four Seasons Resort, Dubai is a major player in Dubai’s Peruvian food scene. We set out to try their set lunch which includes two starters and one main per person.
The ambiance fuses Incan sculptures, totem candleholders, wooden tables, and booths with the use of deep-red ochre leather. With three of us sharing the meal, we tried six starters—the Dorada al Coco—a creamy ceviche with sea bream and coconut milk with crunchy and smooth textures. The Tacos de Pollo was mini chicken tacos with red pepper and charred corn. The Peruvian squid was a unique twist on calamari, topped with lots of jalapeno chilies. The Ensalada de COYA was a merging of green vegetables, pepper, Peruvian olives, and aji Amarillo with pomegranate and crisp greens.
Mains included the Pollo a la Parrilla—a tender corn fed baby chicken with aji panca, garnished with coriander. I loved the Arroz Nikkei—Chilean sea bass, rice, lime, and chili while the Camarones con Quinoa was similar to risotto, but with stir fry quinoa, soy, prawns, and aji panca.
We were served two complimentary sweet treats— the Churros de Naranja—crisp churros with orange and lime—was served with milk chocolate and dulce de leche sauce. And the baked sour cream cheesecake with marinated strawberries and strawberry sorbet, which was decadently delicious.
The Verdict: COYA Dubai is one of those places you can be guaranteed an authentic Peruvian dining experience within a decadently luxurious ambiance.
