Laze and Graze at Graze Gastro Grill’s Saturday Brunch
Graze Gastro Grill is situated in the heart of City Walk—La Ville Hotel and is an eatery known for its superb offerings of meat, seafood, and poultry. And now, the venue is offering a redefined brunch that takes place not on Fridays, but Saturdays and focuses on fine dining, but within a sharing and social premise. The brunch timings are from 1 pm to 6 pm, and you can choose whichever 3 hours slot that suits you.
The ambiance is contemporary with chevron checked floors, an open kitchen, huge ceiling murals of cows, and the option to dine al fresco. The starters course included Fin de Claire Oysters, crunchy calamari with a dipping sauce, a moreish marmalade toast, and Graze Caesar Salad—each dish complemented the other, but my favorite was the marmalade toast. And in between we were served a lovely assortment of freshly made mocktails and soft drinks which are included in the package.
The mains are also served to the table in a social, sharing style and any dish can be reordered as per preference. We tucked into Josper grilled beef flank which was done wonderfully as the Josper grill cooking retains the flavors of the meat and was served with some delicious sides. Then the baked salmon was cooked simply and served with greens. And my favorite—the truffle mac and cheese was pure comfort food at the highest level with hints of truffle enveloping the melted, baked cheese over perfectly cooked pasta.
To finish, we were served a deconstructed strawberry cheesecake and a show stopping baked caramel and chocolate s’mores which are torched at the counter to caramelize the surface of the marshmallows.
The Verdict: A fun way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon, this brunch has all of the elements of a well-balanced sharing style brunch.
