18 November 2015, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – National Health Insurance Company Daman has launched a new tool designed to assist corporate members and the business community in taking an active approach towards the health and well-being of their staff.
The new service, “HealthGuardian” is an electronic portal that allows organisations to create their own internal health campaigns, and is complimentary to all Daman corporate clients.
HealthGuardian supports human resource managers – who traditionally do not have time or resource to be the company’s guardians of health – with communicating health news, and allows customization of ready-made templates information, to create health awareness campaigns. HR managers can reach all employees, those with and without email. They can quickly and easily develop custom posters, roll-up banners, newsletters, brochures, factsheets, “how to” guides, info-graphics and more.
HealthGuardian is built to plug-in seamlessly with email systems and can be used by anyone following the initial set-up by Daman. The design of the tool is handled by Daman, which takes into account the corporate identity of the organisation using the tool.
“As adults, we spend more than one third of our lives at work, so it only makes sense that we need to focus on what employees and workplaces can do to become healthier,” said Dr. Sven Rohte, Chief Commercial Officer, Daman.
He adds: “A major advantage of HealthGuardian is the fact the content can be tailored to fit the needs of a workplace and the various groups of employees who work there. Whether the business is a large diversified firm or a small office, every employer should be considering how they can improve the wellbeing of its workers.”
Forty organisations have registered with the HealthGuardian programme, following a successful trial period over the summer.

Any organisation that is a Daman policy holder is eligible for the service.
