Yas Gaming Festival Returns for 11 Days of Incredible Entertainment

This year’s Yas Gaming Festival returns to Yas Island just after Ramadan, in time for Eid al-Fitr celebrations, taking place at Yas Mall from Wednesday 5 June to Saturday 15 June. The festival promises to bring an immersive world of video games to Yas Mall with great activities for all ages. The event will also feature non-stop 24-hour gaming on the first day of Eid.

As a unique leisure and entertainment hub, Yas Island continues to diversify its growing yearly calendar to include more attractive events like the Yas Gaming Festival, to cater to the ever-evolving interests of residents and visitors alike. Yas Island welcomes IGN Middle East, a brand that reaches 150 million gamers worldwide to once again deliver a first-in-class gaming event in Abu Dhabi.

After a successful 2018 edition that was attended by more than 35,000 gaming enthusiasts, this year’s Yas Gaming Festival promises to be bigger and better, with appearances by YouTube and gaming sensations Zubair Sarookh, Hemo King and gaming experts from IGN Middle East.  The event brings interactive experiences featuring virtual reality, retro games, a showcase of the latest video games, cosplay and tournaments. Players of all ages are invited to game together and put their skills to the test while parents can attend informational discussions on kid-friendly and educational gaming.

The philanthropic element of Yas Gaming Festival, Gaming 4 Good, invites gaming enthusiasts to donate games and consoles in support of autism awareness. Additionally, they’ll be able to witness high-profile influencers and gamers duel it out in a ProAm tournament with a grand prize of AED 20,000 that will be donated to the same cause.

Registration for the Yas Gaming Festival is now live for cosplay and gaming competitions including Overwatch, Fortnite, and Street Fighter V.  Entrants for the Yas Gaming Festival can register here: https://me.ign.com/en/pc/158316/news/yas-gaming-festival-2019-tournament-registrations-open
