‘Donate blood. Save Life’ campaign well received by local community
Dubai, UAE, 10 August, 2015: Zulekha Hospital Sharjah has hailed its latest blood donation drive, held in association with the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, Ministry of Health, as an overwhelming success.
A senior representative from Sharjah Blood Transfusion & Research Centre, Ministry of Health, said: “Our mobile blood donation bus can collect blood from up to 200 donors and by working closely with Zulekha Hospital Sharjah, we can reach out to people who do not always find the time to come to our centre.
“Our team of physicians were extremely impressed with the turnout of donors at the hospital’s blood bank and we look forward to the next donation drive with Zulekha Hospital.”
Zanubia Shams, CEO of Zulekha Hospital, said: “Our intention is to create more awareness and encourage more people to donate blood to help save the lives of people in need. After a successful blood donation day, we are already planning our next campaign to cater to even more willing donors.”
