This is my absolute favorite time of the year. When the kids are out of school
for the holidays and the weather is wonderfully cool. To add to the fun is DSF
2016. We met with H.E. Laila Mohammad Suhail, CEO of Dubai Festivals and
Retail Establishment about the exciting developments planned this year. In
line with the festive season, we have also included features that show you
how to look your best with our roundup of festive gifts and beauty treats.
We conducted several key events; one was the informative ‘Count Your
Steps Diabetes Campaign’ in Thumbay Hospital on November 21st in which
we met with Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. He spoke in-depth about how
he manages his health and fitness as a professional sportsman.
Medical tourism plays a key role at Thumbay Hospital and we were honored
to have hosted the second annual Medical Tourism Conference ‘Destination
UAE – Health & Medical Tourism Hub, Partnership for Collaborations’. We
have an in-depth feature with Dr. Layla Al Marzouqi, Director of Health
Regulation and the Dubai Medical Tourism Project. She explained the
challenges and opportunities in making Dubai a global medical tourism hub.
Our ‘Child & Parenting event’, held on December 18th, was a huge
success. It was tailor-made for the parents of 1 to 5 year olds to help them
gain valuable insights into the lives of their children and also acquire key
parenting tips.
