Q
Can you please share an inspirational patient/doctor story with our readers?
“Upon the third day of joining Thumbay hospital, Dubai, I had a 70-year-old patient who stopped walking for
one month after had had a fall which had caused a spinal fracture. The fracture was healed, however the spine
was deformed. The patient was operated on for three-level laminectomies, spinal jack, cement injection, and
spinal pedicular screw fixation and fusion. Post operation this patient developed acute pancreatitis, however
the good news is that the patient recovered and is currently in the phase of physiotherapy.”
