Cricket is a global sport now seen
in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman.
It’s picked up globally. I think
this idea to have an academy for
budding cricketers is excellent.
The job of an academy is not
just to have lots of kids joining
in, but kids who are good, have
the passion, and want to work
hard. I think the most important
factor of all is skill; then follows
the practice, work, dedication,
commitment, and all of that. But
first and foremost, an academy
must seek out skill. Some
academies are full of kids who
are not producing and the kids
with true skill get left behind. I
think an academy such as yours
can produce great players if skill
is quickly picked up and honed
properly.
