At Voyoga, there is a special swing yoga room,
offering classes seven days a week. The gravatonic
swings have been brought in from Australia and
branded specifically for Voyoga, and made of a
resilient parachute material which makes them
safe and reliable.
Swing yoga has a number of benefits for the mind and body,
whilst releasing tension and stress in the joints andmuscles. As
a therapeutic relief for compressed joints, Swing yoga allows
the muscles to balance, giving you the ability to strengthen
and stretch, and is the perfect aid to any inversion therapy
practice creating a lovely gentle traction of the spine. It can
also help to alleviate tension and pain within the muscles as
well as increasing joint mobility and flexibility, circulation of
the blood and energy levels.
It is perfect for anyone with back issues and according to some,
even better than an inversion table, as you are able to hang
freely, allowing your spine to lengthen, even those who suffer
from sciatica. Each class introduces an inversion allowing the
student to enjoy a spinal decompression which enables a more
confident practice, especially as you begin to start other types
of yoga where you may practice without the security of the
swing.

Bikram Yoga, Hot A Series, and Hot
Voyoga
-Signature Series
Bikram yoga is a dynamic yoga practice performed in a room
heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity. The
classes are 90 minutes long and consist of 26 postures which
work the body inside out, from little finger to the little toe.
Bikram is a great cardio workout, helping to detoxify and
cleanse the body as well as is a great aid for arthritis and those
suffering from diabetes. The body will sweat and detox in the
Hot Voyoga room.
InHot A,
you learn to
switch up the routine,
working some of
the same muscles
but increasing the
upper
body
and
core strength in the
practice. For those
who love Bikram,
Hot A is the first step
in trying something
a little bit different,
with
a
standing
series that follows
the same foundations
of Bikram but aided
with
modifications
and a floor series that
will add a spice to the
routine.
After Hot A comes
Hot
Voyoga
,
their
signature series. The
Hot Voyoga sequence
consists of a 20
minute warm up with
a flow of postures
going gracefully into
a balancing standing
series. Your practice will take you into an upper body
strengthening and core strengthening adding postures that
challenge you in the Hot Voyoga Room. Finally after the
standing series, you will end in the traditional and relaxing
savasana, allowing the body to recuperate and reap the
benefits of your practice.
Voyoga recommends combining their swing and meditation
classes with Hot Yoga is a great way to increase the stamina of
the body, a perfect recipe for a healthy body and mind.
