Journalist, designer, and photographer,
Nadine Kanso has managed to imbue
imagination into all of her creative
endeavors. HEALTH spoke with the dynamic
Nadine about what makes her tick…
Q)
What is your latest women’s
collection all about?
Nadine: “Our latest collection was to go
back to the Eye that I had designed a few
years back and now push it a in different
a direction, revise it and try to bring a
new element of design to it. I have also
revisited my Lips or Kiss design to have
the words ‘Talk To Me’ in Arabic be part
of it.”

Who is your prototype
client?
Nadine: “I design with no one in
particular in mind, the person who
would wear Bil Arabi is someone with a
strong sense of identity and pride who
appreciates the message and the work
behind the brand.”

What are your design
predictions for Spring and
Summer 2015 for women?
Nadine: “Lots of bold bright colors are
back, I am all for that!”

What are we going to see
more of in the near future?
Nadine: “I have just launched the first Bil
Arabi Men’s line and there will be a great
focus on that. I have collaborated with
designer Samer Al Ameen on this and
hopefully a new Capsule Collection with
a blogger will be on show in March.”

What are five must-have
pieces all women must own in
their wardrobe?
Nadine: “I am all for a comfortable pair
of jeans, a black blazer, a cool white
shirt, black cocktail dress and cool shoes.
Classic and chic can always be dressed
down or dressed up, and any of these
items are essential. One can do anything
and still look good in them.”
