I have always disliked
having to apply
mascara even on
special occasions.
The idea of having
eyelashes applied that
would stay on for at
least 10 days without
a fuss sounded too
good to be true.
When I went in to
the Glow Salon & Spa
in Jumeirah, I was
presented with an
array of lash choices.
I lay down on the
treatment bed as the
beauty therapist taped
my eyelids shut. The
entire procedure took
about a half an hour.
The final result was
amazing; my lashes
looked lush, longer
and definitely thicker.
The best part is that
there is no need to
wear mascara with
these so it made my
makeup application in
the morning a breeze.
The eye lashes used are

up to two weeks if you

Crazy for
Contouring With Benefit
A huge trend made famous by Kim Kardashian
that popped up in 2014 and is still going strong
for 2015 is contouring. I was invited for a
proper contouring lesson by the team of Benefit
Beauty advisors at their shop n shop inside
Sephora City Walk to teach me the right way to
contour. The beauty advisor explained that the
best ways to instantly slim the face and create
shadows was by contouring while highlights did
the opposite and brought light into areas to be
accentuated. For the contouring, the product
Hoola by Bufit was applied with a brush from
the mid of my cheeks going upwards in a
sweeping motion. I sucked my cheeks in the
find the natural hollows and the advisor used
this as a guide. This created the sculptured look
and also used lightly down the sides of my nose,
my forehead as well as my jawline to give the
illusion of a slimmer and more angular face.
Next Benefit’s High Beam was applied to impart
a dewy yet light filled sheen on the cheekbones,
the bridge of the nose and center of the
forehead and judiciously blended. And lastly,
Benefit’s Coralista blush was applied to pop
color to my face. The final look was glowing
yet super natural and professional
enough to wear to work any day.

This is a state-of-the-art facial
that promises skin exfoliation,
instant hydration and collagen
boosting. The facial started face
cleansing and exfoliation with
Diamond Microdermabrasion
aimed to bring back that ‘baby
skin’ back. The specialist then
applied a cleansing solution to
deep-clean the skin before using a
glycolic acid peel which rendered
