What’s
Your
Favorite
Aspect of
Ramadan?
The oneness, the heightened spiritual
awareness, praying, charity and coming
together for the same purpose;
HEALTH
asked a few residents what in particular
they love about Ramadan. Here’s what
they said….
Sana
Qureshi,
Banker
“One of my favorite
months in UAE has
got to be Ramadan;
with the food,
lights, food fairs,
the excitement and
planning for the
prayers of Laylatul
Qadr as well as the
shorter working
hours and long
nights with friends
and family. Dubai
especially comes
alive after Maghreb
prayer. They have
the most beautiful
and lavish Ramadan tents put up for the whole month
in Dubai alongside the big charity tents put up in
Sharjah on almost every roundabout. For me Ramadan
can’t get any better than here in UAE.”
Dr. Hassan Galadari,
Dermatologist
“Forget New Year’s resolutions, Ramadan is
when you are able to look back at how your year
has been. The month is a time of giving, getting
together and making plans for the future. I, for
one, have always looked fondly to that month and
this year will be no different.”
