In the midst of the hustle and bustle of weekend

shopping, my family and I were invited to

sample a scrumptious Mexican meal at La Rosa

Mexicano Mexican restaurant. Tucked away in a

quiet portion of Mirdif City Center, the restaurant

manager informed us this American franchise

has been open for the past one and half years

and has another outlet in Dubai Mall.

Set in a modern, nuvo Latin inspired ambiance, the

booths and tables, alongside mosaic detailing, imbued

authenticity. One wall had a beautiful mosaic trajectory

with a soothing waterfall and butterflies. The signature

item on the menu the eatery is known for is the live

guacamole station which is brought to your table side and

made to order by a specially trained expert. With such

ingredients to choose from as onions, jalapenos, cilantro,

avocados, and tomatoes, our guacamole server whipped

us up a delicious accompaniment to the crisp tortilla

chips accompanied by fresh salsa. Our beverages to start

included the signature Strawberry Mojito and Avocado

Honey Dew juices. Our appetizers included chicken and

shrimp empanadas and rolls with three dipping sauces.

Our mains included enchilada and steak, enchilada with

shredded beef, and mixed fajitas. The chicken fajitas

were flavorful and served sizzling hot, with roasted bell

peppers and onions, shredded cheese, tortillas, coriander

rice, beans, sour cream and pico de gallo. With quick and

friendly service, our meal was filling and delicious.

For dessert, our server recommended we sample the

Churros En Bolsa, or basically what in English are hot

donuts. This was accompanied by coffee to end the meal.

A place that is equally popular with expatriates as it is UAE

nationals; La Rosa Mexicano Mexican restaurant serves

up delicious Mexican food with quick service in a lovely

ambiance.
