The Gulf Medical University ceremoniously conducted the White Coat Ceremony 2016 for 258 students, from 75 countries, at the University Campus in Ajman on the September 29, 2016. The event
drew nearly 500 family members and friends for the rite of passage, as each new medical student in the Class of 2016 donned a coat. The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Chief Guest
Prof. Patrick F. Ayeh-Kumi, Provost-College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana (Ghana) along with Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President and Chairman, Board of Governors, Gulf Medical
University. Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of the Gulf Medical University delivered the welcome address.
A delegation from Abu Dhabi National Islamic Finance (ADNIF), the Islamic banking division of
the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) visited Gulf Medical University, Ajman on October 13,
2016. The delegation was received by Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Thumbay
Group.
A new outlet of Thumbay Pharmacy, one of the fastest-growing healthcare retail chains in the
UAE operated by the Thumbay Group, was inaugurated in Al Nuaimiya, Ajman on September
5, 2016. The pharmacy outlet was inaugurated by Mr. K. E. Faizal - Founder & Chairman of KEF
Holdings, in the presence of Mr. Thumbay Moideen - Founder President of Thumbay Group, Mrs.
Shabana Faizal - Vice Chairperson of KEF Holdings, and the members of the Thumbay Group
Board.
