Prof. Patrick F Ayeh-Kumi, Provost-College of Health sciences, University of Ghana (Ghana) was
the Chief Guest of the Gulf Medical University’s (GMU) White Coat Ceremony 2016. He also
toured the GMU campus and interacted with the faculty.“Gulf Medical University is progressing
steadily as an institution of international excellence in the medical profession. It’s one of the best
facilities I have ever seen, and I congratulate the Founder President, Mr. Thumbay Moideen for
the good work,”he said.
Thumbay Group has signed a partnership agreement with the Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Foundation
to support the fourth edition of the Foundation’s Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Leadership Program
(ALP). The agreement was signed by Mr. Thumbay Moideen - Founder President of Thumbay
Group, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi - Chairman of the
Foundation, H.E. Mohammed Hussein Al Shaali - Chairman of Gulf Craft and Mr. Akbar Moideen
Thumbay - Vice President of the Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group.
H.E. Milos Perisic, Ambassador of The Republic of Serbia to the UAE, visited the Gulf Medical
University (GMU), Ajman on October 13, 2016. He was welcomed by Mr. Thumbay Moideen,
Founder President and Chairman of the Board of Governors of GMU.
Mr. Thumbay Moideen, the Founder President of Thumbay Group, was invited to deliver the
keynote address at the second edition of the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Forum
on September 28. Mr. Moideen, who was one of the chief guests at the inaugural function
of the seminar, shared his pearls of wisdom on how innovation can help in establishing and
successfully sustaining a private medical university.
