Seven Foods that Help to Relieve Snoring

Snoring is fairly common! But that doesn’t make it fairly popular. Some simple diet changes can help relieve snoring substantially. So if you are a snorer, or live with one, make sure to check out these seven foods that will make your snoring better and work as a snoring solution.
- Soy Milk: Cow’s milk is a fairly common culprit for triggering congestion amongst those with lactose intolerance. You might actually have undetected lactose intolerance, so switch over to soy milk and monitor if it improves your snoring.
- Onions: These are an excellent anti-inflammatory agent. They help decongest and clear the air passages, and therefore, improve breathing and alleviate snoring.
- Chamomile Tea: Chamomile has immense soothing properties and can be combined with a dash of honey and lemon to create an excellent snoring reliever. Have as many cups of this tea as you can during the day and make sure to have one before bedtime for best results.
- Honey: It’s yummy as well as has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Honey’s two-pronged action helps combat snoring caused due to an inflamed throat and nasal membranes that might have been caused by any bacterial infection. Have a spoonful directly, right before bedtime.
- Turmeric: The golden spice is all the rage nowadays. If you are a snorer, you have an excellent reason to hop on the turmeric bandwagon. Turmeric has impressive anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to reduce inflammation caused by snoring. Add turmeric to your food as well as to your bedtime tea.
- Fish: Switch from red meat to white fish. Red meat can lead to a swelling of the throat and nasal tissues.
- Garlic: You either love it or hate it; there is no middle ground with garlic. But if you are a snorer, loving garlic is a boon for you. Garlic has some excellent anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Try to consume as much garlic as you can in your daily diet. And if you can stomach it, you can eat some raw garlic before bedtime for more effectiveness.
