Vintage Teapot Queen Reveals What’s Trending

Awatif Ahmed, the creative genius behind Vintage Teapot Queen, talks about the winter fashion rage and how you can stay on-trend this season.
This season, fashion broke the rules of somber colors – designers brought bake eclectic designs and styles, most likely to break the gloom of the season. With the colder weather came the blizzard of colors and patterns. What was once stereotyped and assumed as summer trends are now officially winter bloom. Floral, polka dots, quirky prints in your closet, can be worn in winter matched by the glitter of sequins, colorful pop retro sweaters, and shimmery jackets – all added to the mix.
Metallic-pleated skirts were seen everywhere, worn with some awesome powerful feminist slogan and rock tees. Oversized cardigans were, once again, staple pieces, so think twice before tossing out grandma-knitted sweaters and those large blanket printed shawls – they come in handy to stay on point in the fashion streets. Keep in mind; the larger, the more fashion appropriate.
With accessories, not much went on, although a plethora of high-end designers and high street stores had handbags transformed into miniature backpacks without causing a distraction from the outfit of course. And guess what ladies? Platform sneakers made a comeback, and it’s done so with a bang!
