Calling all Chai Lovers

Calling all die-hard chai lovers—Tania’s Teahouse, a cozy and very Instragammable cafe in Jumeirah is serving up their delicious teas along with their new breakfast menu that can be ordered all day long and is fresh, healthy, and super satisfying.

With accents of pink and lots of inspirational quotes and accents on the walls, this cafe is distinctly feminine. Seating options include a long counter with stools, sofas booths adjacent to windows, or round tables as well as an area upstairs that can be used for private parties or meetings.

The teas are divided into black, herbal, green, and matcha, served regular, iced, or as lattes and with quirky names like Apple Pie chai, Dat Cookie Dough, and Cherry Cheesecake. Some herbal teas include an Anti-Anxiety tea, and Golden Glow, and the green teas standouts included Wakey Wakey and Feelin’Feis-tea.

We sampled an iced strawberry tea which was refreshing and high on fruity notes. The Cherry Cheesecake hot tea latte was a milky tea with lots of subtle flavors of cherry and cheesecake.

We ordered from their new breakfast menu, which incidentally is immensely healthy, but flavorful at the same time. So you can have your salmon on beetroot bread, a chia pudding bowl, or what we tried—the Eggcellent brekkie: scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms and tomatoes, and fresh brioche bread. Our other order was avocado and eggs on toast which was creamy and fresh and super healthy.

We tried three different sweet treats: their famous ‘Cake-in-a-teacup’ in the ‘birthday cake’ flavor—an almost deconstructed cake in a cup, topped with white fluffy icing. It took me back in time to my childhood when desserts were sweet, rich, and yummy. The Molten lava cake was an ooey gooey chocolaty warm cake served with a scoop of ice cream, and then my absolute favorite—salted caramel brownies topped with a drizzle of salted caramel that instantly propelled us to dessert nirvana!

The Verdict: Tania’s Teahouse is a delightful place to relax over a leisurely cup of tea with a freshly prepared breakfast; all set amidst the most gorgeous interiors. Don’t miss it.
