Why Coconut Oil is Better

The one thing our body definitely needs is GOOD FATS. There are 3 types of fats: saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated fats.

Our hormones feed on fat, so if we stop consuming good quality fats, we cannot burn fats. TO BURN FATS WE NEED TO EAT FATS. However, refined and hydrogenated fats contain toxins which work like free radicals in the body and create diseases like obesity, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.

Coconut oil has been used throughout the tropics in many traditional systems of medicine. In India, it is being used for thousands of years as an Ayurvedic medicine.  Coconut oil and palm kernel oil are, by far, the best oils because they contain medium chain fatty acids (MCFA). Coconut oil contains 60 percent and kernel oil contains 55 percent MCFAS. These are easily digestible, giving an instant explosion of energy. However, oils like olive, almond, and safflower contain long chain fatty acids which put a lot of pressure on the liver and gallbladder for digestion. The fatty acids that make coconut oil so effective against germs are the same ones nature has put into mothers’ milk to protect infants from many harmful germs while the immune system is still developing.

Also, our brain is 70 percent fat and needs energy. If we reduce our carbohydrate intake, maintain our protein intake, but add a substantial amount of coconut fats in it, we will reap amazing health benefits. Some of these benefits are: reducing colitis, reducing chronic inflammation, helping prevent diabetes, reducing high blood pressure, reducing premature aging, and protection from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
