Dubai’s Most Glamorous Brunch… Delphine’s Hollywood Brunch

Inspired by the venue in Southern California that serves up an international menu that changes every Friday, the H Hotel’s Delphine restaurant presents one of the best and most elaborate brunches in town with live entertainment, festive decorations, and servers dressed up in Roaring Twenties era outfits.

salads-good-image_previewFrom the salads, some of my favorites included seafood terrine, kale and quinoa feta rolls–a delicious take on a vegetarian style sushi as well as the tomato and burrata Caprese, which was fresh and creamy with a medley of flavors and textures. I also enjoyed another of my favorites; kimchi. Also, the perennial Caesar’s salad and my absolute favorite: roasted sweet potato with quinoa and kale, which was out of this world.

seafood-2_previewThe seafood section had a large array of ready-to-eat seafood including King Crab legs, New Zealand mussels, clams from the UAE, and Canadian lobster. My favorites were the Jumbo prawns with a drizzle of ginger sauce as well as the crab legs, which were also flavorful.

carving-station_previewThere was also a live carving section for roast turkey with lots of accompaniments including cranberry sauce, roasted potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and glazed carrots and with gravy, it was delicious and juicy. The roast beef was succulent, tender, and flavored throughout.

breads_previewThere was just about every kind of bread available here: wholemeal, rye, French baguettes, croissants, even mini pinwheels and pretzels.

Wagyu-burger_previewHere mains are pre-selected and served at the table. We tried the Wagyu burger with caramelized onions, truffle ketchup with sweet potato fries served on a brioche bun.

chicken-satay_previewI had the chicken satay with peanut sauce served with Nasi Goreng which was packed with delicious Eastern flavors. Also, the homemade fettuccine was comfort food at its best, with fresh prawns, dill, and organic tomato sauce.

dessert1_previewLastly, we hit the desserts sections and what a section it was! There was every kind of macaroon, brownies, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other treats; I particularly loved the freshly fried churros with vanilla cream, chocolate molten cake, and the red velvet log, a moist and dense cake with just enough sweetness.

dulce-de-leche_previewI loved the Dulce de Leche which was creamy and packed with caramel. The Matcha brownies packed a punch and were very soft and flavorful. The Crème Brule was perfect with a crunchy coating and creamy inside.

Christmas-cakes_previewThe chocolate mousse was shaped like a mini Christmas tree and packed with deep chocolate flavors. To top off this feast of sweetness was a cotton candy machine and a tray of homemade ice lollies brought to the table.

The Verdict: The Hollywood brunch at Delphine is one of the best brunches in Dubai, offering a vibrant, fun experience, an enormous variety of food of the highest quality, and superb service under one roof. The entertainment here is unbeatable and makes for a very enjoyable afternoon.
