Five Simple Ways You Can Better the World in a Big Way

Why should anyone be concerned about making the world a better place?  Because it is our home and it not only belongs to us, but to our descendants.  By taking care of it we are therefore taking care of ourselves and our posterity.

1.Help someone.  It’s not what you take from the world that makes it better, but what you give.  To transform the world, help people, lift others up, change lives.   If you have the power to help one person, you have the power to change the world.

2.Mentor someone.  If you take a close look at those who achieve anything of importance, you will find that most, if not all of them, had mentors.  It is through mentorship that precious wisdom has been passed down the ages.  To ensure the continual progress of mankind, mentor someone.  One person may be small in number, but mentoring a single individual could lead to mentoring millions.

3.Inspire people.  In life, there are times when you will be up and times when you will be down, and times when you will be in between the two.  We achieve our highest potential operating when we are up, therefore, to better the world you have to better people, and to better people you have to lift them up. Instead of using social media to gossip, encourage someone.  Instead of using your tongue to tear people down, build them up.  You never know how a word or a gesture can change someone’s day or even turn around someone’s life for the better.

4.Volunteer.  When you volunteer you are giving one of your most precious possessions: your time.  When you give your money you give much, but when you give your time you give your all, for time after all, is more important than money.  Money can be made, but time cannot.  Money can be regained if lost, but time lost can never be found again.

5.Forgive someone.  Much of the world’s conflicts remain unresolved because of one simple reason: unforgiveness.  Each time you forgive, you therefore pour love over smoldering hate, filling the world with peace and joy, thereby making the world a better place.
