Keep Your Teeth Stain-Free with these Tips

Let’s face it; no one wants discolored, stained teeth. The reality is that pigments from dark-colored drinks such as coffee, tea, and soda can become embedded in the cracks and ridges between the teeth and as a result, can cause permanent, yellowing stains. Here are some tips to help prevent staining of your teeth.

Regulate your intake of beverages: Aim to consume your preferred beverage at regular break times rather than sipping throughout the day.

Increase water intake: Water is good for your overall oral hygiene as it also washes of toxin and foul smell. Also, alternating a sip of water with your tea/ coffee helps rinse the pigmenting effects of the beverage.

Flossing: Reducing plaque in general will reduce staining. If you don’t floss, you might end up with stains around the surfaces of your teeth even if you brush regularly.
