homemade-chipsJanet, our server, knew the menu inside out and was on hand to help out with our selections. We started with some thirst quenching mocktails: Pineapple and Cucumber, Lemon and Mint, and Sparkling Blackberry. This was served with a selection of homemade chips and dip to nibble on. A selection of fresh breads was served also, complete with fresh olive oil and divine truffle butter.

crabcakesWe sampled two starters–the Foie Gras with fig chutney and cumin almond powder– a very tender portion that was slightly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, served with fresh berries and crispy toast. Our second starter was crispy crab cakes topped with caviar and served with mango chutney for a hint of sweetness. Both got the balance of flavor and texture just right and were delicious.

tenderloin-steakMains here are mostly meat based, though there are seafood and chicken options. You can choose from premium Gold Angus selections like fillet mignon, rib eye, prime T-bone, pepper steak, or NY strip loin.

baby-chickenFrom the Kobe beef, you can indulge in a fillet or a rib eye; we tried a soft and tender Baby Chicken which was served with a chicken jus. The steaks were both 7 ounce fillets cooked to perfection and served with Béarnaise sauce or Mushroom sauce respectively. My steak was done medium well with a huge amount of flavor throughout every bite, yet still well-cooked and flavorful. Plating here is beautiful and understatedly elegant, with Fondant, caramelized potatoes, and a sprinkle of 7-Spices. Each is served with sides according to your preference–we had mashed potatoes, French fries, asparagus spears with parmesan, and creamed spinach.

cheesecakeDesserts here are equally impressive. The London Cheesecake, with cocoa grue tuile, blueberry lemon sorbet, and lemon cream with blueberry jam, was a deliciously creamy sweet treat. The showstopper: a golden Chocolate Molten Ball with raspberry coconut jelly and praline feuilletine, streusel cacao, and vanilla yogurt ice-cream was a feast for the senses as our server poured over the hot chocolate cream to reveal a magnificent mound of glorious chocolate meringue and vanilla yogurt.

Final Words: With outstanding, high-quality food coupled with equally outstanding service, The Exchange Grill is a place where you want to linger over every course. Take your family or loved one here and enjoy an unforgettable meal.
