Lose Weight with a Ketogenic Diet

“A ketogenic diet is high in fat, moderate in protein and low in carbs. Without access to glucose from carbs, the body uses fat as its main fuel source. The fat breaks down to ketones, which are molecules that restrain hunger and accelerate weight loss. I follow the Bulletproof Diet, which is a variation of a ketogenic diet. It includes drinking a cup of Bulletproof Coffee with grass-fed butter in the morning. It might sound strange with butter in the coffee, but it’s delicious and fantastic for weight loss.”
Ice Baths
“Cold exposure, such as ice baths, has proven to aid weight loss through brown fat activation. However, I’m finding ice baths most useful as a tool for building resilience to stay on track with new eating habits. Some of us – I used to be one – have a long-term pattern of overeating. It can be difficult to break this, even when finding a diet that turns off food cravings. This is where ice baths can be powerful: through facing our fears and the discomfort of submerging in ice, we practice resilience. We can then use the same mental strength when resisting junk food, and choosing a new, healthy diet. This is how my years of overeating eventually came to an end.”

Tips for Healthy Weight Loss
- Start your day with a cup of Bulletproof Coffee, to feel satiated until lunchtime.
- Practice intermittent fasting through eating within a 6-h window.
- Combine healthy protein, fats and vegetables to turn off hunger and cravings. An example of a meal: grass-fed meat, avocado, and broccoli.
- Good sleep is vital for weight loss. Block out all lights in your bedroom and practice earthing (through walking barefoot on grass for 20 minutes or using earthing bedsheets) for deeper sleep.
- To treat yourself, avoid sugar. Organic blueberries or raspberries are a healthy alternative.
