Living in a busy city means time isn’t always on your side. These tips and tricks will help to merge fitness into your lifestyle with little effort.

1. Plan your workouts. Scheduling is key. Stop leaving them to chance, this eliminates the chance of you delaying or skipping your workout altogether.

2. Prioritize. People often don’t realize how important being active is. You wouldn’t skip your annual check-up with a doctor, so why not prioritize exercise when its proven to increase our health and quality of life.

3. Put maximum effort into every workout.You are better off working out for 20 minutes at one hundred percent compared to one hour with little effort. Note maximum effort means trying your best. Never compare your workout today to yesterdays and never to anybody else.

4. Find someone to train with. Extra motivation helps in achieving your health and fitness goals. At the same time ensure you choose someone who won’t make you feel awful for not really being able to make it. This can be a negative impact on your mind and attitude towards training.

5. Go to a gym close to where you work or live. There is no excuse then. Alternatively, you can always train at home. Make sure you train in an environment you feel comfortable in and do a type of exercise you enjoy. This will lead to it becoming a permanent part of your lifestyle.

6. Never compare yourself to others. Just make sure you try to be a little bit better than yesterday, day by day. You can’t go wrong.
