Debunking the Top 3 Hair Loss Myths

Lots of us experience hair loss and will hear a lot of reasons for it—from it’s the water to maybe it’s just stress. But if you are experiencing more than usual hair loss, there may be another reason for it. Anivagene hair loss expert Maria Igglezou debunks the most common myths behind hair loss.

The water here is the reason

It’s widely thought that the quality of water, especially in the UAE, is a contributing factor in hair loss, but this is incorrect. While harsh water can play a part in your hair becoming brittle, this can be treated with a nourishing shampoo and conditioner.

Due to aging

This is also false as hair loss can happen at any age. If you notice that your hair isn’t as thick and full as it once was, don’t jump to conclusions; it could be genetic. Observe it and then if it becomes increasingly visible, consult a hair loss professional or try a hair loss range that could help reduce hair fall.

Stress

This can be true to a certain extent. Stress can be the reason for temporary hair loss – weight gain or coping with a major health issue could trigger the type of hair loss in which follicles stop growing. However, this can be easily treated with topical products.
