Meat Lovers’ Rejoice at Mighty Quinn’s Slow Cooked Barbeque

Mighty Quinn’s, the original slow-smoked barbecue dining experience, has recently launched its second UAE branch in Dubai Mall (the other is at JBR). An eatery that has its origins in New York, this place uses neither gas nor braising, just good old-fashioned slow cooking over wood which gives the meat a fantastic flavor and texture.

We ordered their signature Brontosaurus ribs which were slow smoked for 8 to 10 hours and served with coleslaw, pickled cucumber, and choice of rice or bread. These were melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with smoked goodness. The Mighty Trio platter had lamb ribs, their signature brisket which is smoked for 10 to 22 hours, and corn-fed chicken breast. All were all good, but the brisket really stood out.

The Dirty Fries were strips of fresh cut fried potatoes drizzled with freshly cooked bits of the brisket which infused a meaty taste with a topping of green/red onions and spicy buffalo sauce. The Chicken and Waffles was served with strips of tender fried strips and served with maple syrup.

Their desserts are heavenly: we tried their delectable pancakes, drizzled with Hershey’s butterscotch and chocolate sauce and topped with whipped cream. We also tried their signature salted caramel cheesecake served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and lastly, the bread and butter pudding smores topped with strawberries served with ice cream.

The Verdict: Come with a big appetite as Mighty Quinn’s serves up large portion sizes of some of the freshest, tastiest meat dishes in Dubai. The service is friendly and it’s the perfect place to take the family.
